Many notable people like Feminist Activist Kamla Bhasin, India’s famous RJ Sayema and RJ Sabika Muzaffar and NSD alumnus and writer in Bollywood Devender Ahirwar have been a part of our events in the past.

In a country where women still feel insecure, unsafe and not allowed to speak about her day to day harassment, YourVoice believes that it is a high time to give them a platform where they can raise their voice boldly, bluntly and fearlessly.

One Day Women Poetry FEST

Your Voice has decided to celebrate INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

an occasion of extraordinary act of courage and determination of
ordinary women in the history, to call for change, to reflect upon the
progress made and to challenge the present form of patriarchy all over
the World. The one day fest rejoices the stage with the expressions,
emotions and articulation of women through their poetic performances
and is an effort not only to explore work of female poets of India but to
create an environment of peace and gender equality through cross
cultural understanding.

Providing an opportunity to the young women poets of India through a
platform to redefine their sense of patriarchy in a poetic way, it will
also uphold a discussion on the women issue based current poetic
content generated by the youth in general and women/girls in
particular. The fest is also an effort to create a group of young women
poets in India and to celebrate their sisterhood in the form of their own
